In the Name of the Cosmos

Yogi Bhajan
When all the stars dance around the moon
Reflecting the mighty sun in the dawn of the day
And in the beauty of the sunset...
The total sum is the children of the moon
Reflecting through tears
The Self and the selfless.
That is the Cancer!

From the Game of Love by Yogi Bhajan

Greetings from Ravi Kaur Khalsa, Executive Director
Ravi with blue sweater I write this while sitting in the Japji Course (I'm helping to facilitate the flow of teachers and logististics).  It's our last day and even though it's only been 3 days, it already feels like a lifetime because of that special space you get into while immersing yourself in something so beautiful as Japji.  It's been an impactful experience for me even though I just sit on the side and work on my laptop.  Even though I've heard much of this my whole life, I find myself listening so deeply and hearing it from such a different perspective and appreciation. Not only are all the teachers so inspiring but the participants are full of so much wisdom it expands my heart beyond explanation.

Japji course 2Later this afternoon GuruPrakash and I will be teaching a segment on Prosperity, Dasvandh and the power of the 25th pauri of Japji.  At first I was a little resistant to teaching  - I'm not really a scholarly type or a historian.  So what can I offer?  I realized today that we are all just sharing our experiences from our hearts- and we are all teachers in that way.   It helps me to reflect on how we never know how we will end up serving as teachers in our lives.  The Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, came here to create teachers, and I grew up with that message.  I even have a letter from him when I was 16 years old telling me how I was to become a teacher.  But since I never became "A Yoga Teacher", I couldn't understand how I was ever going to become a teacher.  But later in my life when I realized that I could teach dance I thought, "That's it!  I'm a teacher now".  But today I am aware of how we are all teachers and we never know when japji course 1or how or with whom that will manifest.  To know that we are all here to not only be students but to be teachers as well is a massive relief - knowing that we are truly living our destiny.  I believe our individual experiences are so unique and special and how much more impactful they can be when we share them with others.

Enjoy the photos and look online for the video of the course!
