All is the test of assurance.
You and me,
Earth and sea,
All is the test of senses.
Warmth and cold,
Bought and sold,
All is the test of essence.
Love and life,
Fight and strife,
All is the test of knowing-ness.
Know thyself and in One you merge.

My favorite time of the year has finally arrived! I am actually writing this in February as I prepare for my maternity leave. By this time I will be snuggled up at home with a second child. What a blessing!

"Life is a gift to test your caliber." - Yogi Bhajan

 Position: Sit in Easy Pose (or on a chair) with a straight
spine. Bring the hands together in Prayer Mudra in front of the Heart Chakra.
Eyes: Eyes are closed.
Mantra: Sing along with "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo" by Nirinjan
Kaur (available from Spirit Voyage)
Time: 31 minutes
To End: Inhale deeply, hold the breath and meditate on your
essence of caliber. Exhale and repeat two more times. Relax.

Comments: All of life is a test. We are given a roadmap and an idea of
a destination, a destiny, and then we are left to figure out the best way to
get there. One person might go there directly, another might check out some
side streets, yet another might wobble back and forth taking three steps
forward two steps back. No matter which road we each choose, destination
destiny remains the same. In all of this, it is our caliber that sees us
through.
Development of caliber is a deeply spiritual process of
consciousness and conquering the mind. Yogi Bhajan said the mind cannot simply
sit, it must direct you somewhere, and you are the one who chooses.
This meditation helps develop the essence of caliber.

Master Your Destiny!
|
How much dust of ego you can put on
your mind and on your soul, that you may not even forget to know who you are
actually in reality in life, and what your concepts are. It's very easy to feel and say, "I am very
happy;" it's very easy to say and feel, "I am very unhappy." In reality you are neither happy nor unhappy,
you are an idiot, because happy and unhappy are all your mental conception. If
you are unhappy, your mind should turn you to be happy, if you are happy, your
mind should just remind you that there is a possibility of unhappiness, because
everyday is followed by a night and every night is followed by a day, this is
never going to stop.
This is your all mental freaking
out. You are a part of the soul, soul is a part of God and you are alive
because there is a soul in you and you have the energy of the Prana to live
through, that's it. But you don't agree
with that. Why? Because you get caught in your emotions, your
traumas, your emptiness, your fulfillments and your ambitions, imaginations and
God knows what.
Spirituality
is basic, authentic and its authenticity is what does things for you. It's the light of my soul, which can carry
me, not my money, not my friends, not my power.
You put in so much work into creating environments that you become the
prisoner of the environments and the environments never carry you. It's called mental duality.
You feel you can create huge
environmental security around you, but no, if you just flow with flow of your
spirit, your mind will serve you and life will be creative, elevated, beautiful
and authentic and when it is authentic you will be trusted, you will be
speaking the truth, there will be no hassle to manufacture anything, which
vibrates negative.
We have the capacity to keep going
mentally, physically and spiritually, because that is the will of God and that
is the flow. We go corrupt, because our
mind started guiding us rather than serving us.
Mind is not a master, it is a servant.
When a servant becomes master it is always a tyrant.
On this planet, we - all human beings
- are supposed to be happy by the decree of the God.
You are the master of your destiny,
you are the prediction of your horoscope, you are the leader of your day, you
are the light of your life. You are
nothing but represent God on this
planet. That's the will and that is the
decree and that is God. In God you dwell
and God dwells in you. It is the mental
forgetfulness that will cause all this ego troubles, which are neither
necessary nor wanted.
Beloved God, be kind to us, bless
us to remember Thee now and forever.
Give us the consciousness to live, truth to rely on, and Thy grace to
walk with. May those who have come here
in Thy name be blessed and delightfully received in consciousness, make their
journey fruitful, their listening graceful, and their life full of virtues so
they can carry Thy message into the world of today and tomorrow, Sat Nam.
