2011-2012 Student Insurance Updates and Improvements
As ADSA chapter leaders, you play a critical role in keeping your peers informed about ASDA benefits. Please note these important updates to UnitedHealthcare student health insurance policy for the 2011-2012 academic year.
  • ASDA members that enroll in the UnitedHealthcare student plan will have access to its nationwide network of preferred providers in 2011-2012. This network includes more than 600,000 physicians, hospitals and health care providers who  provide services at discounted rates. This means that any health care services received in-network may cost ASDA members less out of pocket.
  • The 2011-2012 ASDA Student Injury and Sickness plan will provide coverage from August 1, 2011 to July 31, 2012. The ASDA plan for 2011-2012 will be available for online enrollment on July 1, 2011 at
The ASDA Student Injury and Sickness plan, for predoctoral members and their dependents, still offers various coverage levels, deductibles and payment options to fit members' budgets. The Plan is available in most states* and may meet your chapter members' school health insurance requirements. Learn more at or call UnitedHealthcare at 800-505-5450.

*Please note that the plan is not available in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Vermont and Washington.
