Applying for the Community Opportunities Fund Cycle 4

First 5 LA released a Request for Proposals for the fourth and final cycle of our Community Opportunities Fund (COF). For this cycle we are looking for qualified organizations interested in working with First 5 LA staff and the Commission to implement organizational capacity building activities.

For the purposes of COF, organizational capacity building refers to activities that build and sustain organizational growth and effectiveness in ways that impact one of First 5 LA's selected goal areas: babies are born healthy, children maintain a healthy weight, children are safe from abuse and neglect, and children are ready for kindergarten.

Efforts should focus on developing organizations that continually strive to learn, analyze and act on improving their mission-based priorities. Capacity building projects should create change that is sustainable beyond the life of the grant. Applications for Cycle 4 of COF are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 16. To find out more click here or contact William Rowel at (213) 482-7530.
