A Day in the Life -Interview - Photo

Greetings,

As the school year winds down, lots of students  have just taken final exams.   So, I thought I'd include an exam of my own--a 5-question quiz--in this month's Communique'.  See how much you remember from some of my popular presentations...and win a prize!

Also, take a look at a couple books described on my Summer Reading List.

As always, I welcome opportunities to help your staff stay positive, confront tough communication situations and work together better!

All the best,

Summer Reading List
(aka - Sarita's Book Review)

Here are a couple books I've recently read which are worth adding to your summer reading list:

Strengths Finder 2.0 by Tom Rath

This Wall Street Journal best seller notes that as a society we tend to focus on what needs to be fixed rather than what strengths we can amplify.  EXAMPLE:  77% of U.S. parents feel that their student's lowest grade deserves the most focus and attention.

The book also includes a description of 34 Strength Themes.  Each book comes with a
sealed personal password to access an online assessment--upgraded from the 2007 1.0 version--which reveals YOUR
top 5 Strengths.

MASTERY:  The Keys to Success and Long-Term Fulfillment

I just read this classic book by George Leonard, also the author of The Way of Aikido (which I haven't yet read.)  The book Mastery shares The Five Master Keys required to perfect any skill and issues the reality check that there are no short cuts to mastery,  practice is mandatory and plateaus are not necessarily a bad thing.

Take a look at the recommended reading list on my website for some of my long-time favorite book resources.

What books are on your recommended reading list?
I'd love to hear from you!
