Greetings!

Sarita's Photo

I hope this May Communique' finds you doing well.

As my daughter prepares to graduate from high school in a couple weeks, it occurs to me that this is a great time to focus on transitions and possibilities...in general and in this edition of the Communique'.

On that note, I'm pleased to highlight information on the Job Contender.

I recently had the privilege of  contributing my "positive communication" expertise to this new initiative which helps unemployed and underemployed individuals increase their chances of securing and maintaining high quality employment.

Job Contender is also producing a 12-episode reality series where individuals who have been unemployed for at least one year will receive coaching and have access to content provided by the "Faculty" (including me!).

Viewers can follow the series and apply the principles during their job search.

Are you a contender?

Whether you're currently in search of a new job or just want to take your career to the next level,  you'll find  info on Job Contender that helps you become a contender in whatever you choose to pursue!

All the best, Sarita

NOTHING NICE TO SAY?

 Three Options

 Use these options when
someone tries to bait you by asking "What do you think about...?"
(ie -the new co-worker, the boss, the new policy)

1. NON-RESPONSE
"I haven't given them much thought."

2. THROW IT BACK
"Seems like you have some thoughts. What do YOU think about him?"

3. FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE
"I've noticed that she's very good at getting the job done!"

More info on these strategies in Sarita's book
