March Greetings!

ABC News Book Launch Interview
I recently had the pleasure of speaking at an event with a "superhero" theme and was most impressed with the opening remarks by one of the staff on  "10 Lessons Learned from Superheroes."

In these uncertain times, I think many of us could benefit from these lessons, so I've shared them below.

Are you a Superhero?

Take a look at these "10 Lessons Learned from Superheroes" presented by Dr. David Granet of UCSD Medical Center and see if you qualify as a Superhero.

1. Never give up - be persistent

2. Always get the job done ("I will" instead of "I'll try")

3. The best at what they do

4. Crystal clear on their purpose

5. Not flawless -  ( ex - we all have our "kryptonite")

6. Don't do what they do to seek the glory

7. Help others

8. Accomplish great feats  (ex - doing more with less)

9. Perform alone but are more powerful in teams

10. Strength comes from their character

What Do You Say?:  Featured Phrases
"I will", "I can," "I'll do it"

These phrases all suggest the powerful "can do" attitude of someone who gets the job done!  (See Superhero Lesson # 2 above).  In the words of the all-knowing Yoda in the movie Star Wars, "Do, or do not. There is no 'try'."
