Care Reform-Compliant Plans Beginning October 1, 2010
We are introducing a new
health care reform-compliant Pennsylvania Small Group product portfolio,
effective October 1, 2010. Our most popular plans will be included in the
portfolio and modified to comply with health care reform requirements.

New Jersey: Network updates
AmeriHealth
New Jersey has signed agreements with Haddon Emergency Physicians, Lourdes
Imaging Associates, Margate Diagnostic Center,
and Palisades Medical Center.

Capital BlueCross: Dependents to Age 26 Provision Update
The purpose
of this Bulletin is to provide producers additional information on specific
topics related to the Health Care Reform-Dependents to Age 26 Provision.

Capital BlueCross: Early Retire Reinsurance Program
The
Early Retiree Reinsurance Program, which begins on June 1, 2010, will reimburse
approved employment-based plans for up to 80% of the claim costs for each early
retiree with claims between $15,000 and $90,000 that were incurred and paid
during the plan year. "Early retiree" means individuals who are age 55 and
older, but not eligible for Medicare, and who are not active employees of the
employer. Claims for spouses, surviving spouses and dependents of early
retirees are also eligible for this program.
