Aetna: COBRA Subsidy Extension to March 31, 2010
The Temporary Extension Act
of 2010 (the Act) was signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday, March 2,
2010. The Act extends the COBRA subsidy eligibility period originally
introduced under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), as
amended by the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2010, until
March 31, 2010.

Aetna: Mobile Phone Access to Health Care
Information
Aetna
members will soon be able to access a wide range of health care information
from their mobile phones, whether they have a basic cell phone or a smartphone
with full internet access. That's because Aetna
is making it a priority to engage members with mobile solutions that include
mobile web, smartphone "apps" and text messaging.

Anthem: New
Requirements for State Children's Health Insurance Program
As you know, the Children's Health Insurance Program
Reauthorization Act of 2009 was signed into law on February 4, 2009, and
reauthorizes the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) for four and
a half more years.

Highmark:
Update on HighmarkDirect Stores
The first
two HighmarkDirect stores opened in early 2009 to give Pennsylvanians access to
the information they need to make informed decisions about health insurance.
Through these stores, residents in the Mechanicsburg and Pittsburgh areas have become more aware of
their options for Highmark health care coverage.

Hospital to Join Hospital

Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is pleased to announce that Temple University Hospital,
located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will join the Horizon Hospital
Network, effective April
1, 2010.

UnitedHealthcare: COBRA Subsidy Law Extension
Recently
enacted legislation has extended and expanded the COBRA premium subsidy that
was created under ARRA. The extension means new compliance obligations for
employers and carriers. Eligibility for the subsidy now runs through March 31,
2010 and the duration of the subsidy can be up to 15 months. For state
continuation, the length of the subsidy period depends on a particular state's
current continuation laws.

Agreement
We are pleased to announce that UnitedHealthcare and Continuum
Health Partners ("Continuum") have reached a multi-year agreement effective
March 1, 2010.

Prescription Drug List Updates July 1, 2010
Effective
July 1, 2010, the new Prescription Drug List (PDL) and Benefit Coverage updates
will take place on our Advantage and Traditional PDLs. These updates do not
apply to PacifiCare or Prescription Solutions business.
