Independence Blue Cross:
Prescription Drug Benefit Updates
Beginning January 1, 2010, IBC will provide
benefits for most self-injectable drugs under prescription drug plans instead
of under medical benefits. To ensure that members do not have any gaps in
coverage, we are providing customers with a one-time opportunity to add IBC
prescription drug benefits off-anniversary. The off-anniversary effective date
of prescription drug coverage depends on the customer's billing cycle.
