Aetna: New Taxes in New York Require Premium
Increases Effective July 1
In
recent weeks the New York
legislature has passed a number of new taxes and surcharges on health benefits
and services that will affect employers with employees who live or receive
health care in the state. These increased taxes will increase costs for some
plans effective July 1, 2009, and for others upon renewal.
