- Important information about our health benefits programs
We
are writing to notify you of updates to our health benefits programs. Periodically, we review and evaluate our
benefits plans against current industry standards and regulatory requirements,
and we update benefits as needed. Letters announcing these changes are
scheduled to be mailed to groups and members in February.

Capital BlueCross Pharmacy Network Updates
The Capital BlueCross
pharmacy network is maintained through our relationship with Express Scripts,
Inc (ESI). This expansive network of pharmacies is continuously updated through
the removal and addition of pharmacies. As part of normal business practices,
contract renegotiations occasionally occur.

Independence Blue Cross - Jan 2009 Changes to Select Drug
Program(s) Options Clarification
Independence
Blue Cross issued the following statement via their ROAM system:
"As you know, effective 1/1/09 we are no longer offering the following
Select Drug Program(r) options: 5/10/25, 5/15/25, 5/20/35, 5/30/50, 10/30/50.

United Healthcare - Generic Only Prescription
Drug Option
United Healthcare is excited to offer a generic only
prescription drug card to Pennsylvania
small businesses (2 - 99 eligible).
