Greetings!
February is typically a month dedicated to love, so it seemed appropriate to offer this loving, heart-full story about my late father in this issue. My intent in sharing this very personal part of our family story is to support anyone who has or had a loved one with Alzheimer's. It is also for anyone who has a concern about being genetically "pre-disposed" to a certain condition or disease. This is a wellness newsletter and not an "illness" newsletter, so I trust you will find your level of wellness uplifted as you read, Unforgettable Memories: A Daughter's View of Alzheimer's. May love and wholeness flow through your life,
Susan Tate, M.A., Editor Director, Washington Wellness Associates

Well, that's the part that makes you think you traveled on a boxcar with wings." "Okay," he obediently replied. I thought I was controlling the situation quite nicely. What an illusion! It took me almost two years to stop fighting against my father's diagnosis of Alzheimer's. When I surrendered and embraced him as he was appearing in that moment, it seemed I found a previously undiscovered pathway into my dad's mind. Click here to read entire article.
