Greetings!
Did you see Susan Boyle's incredible performance of "I Dreamed a Dream"? THAT is the kind of good news I want to spread. If we had more of that and less news bullets of fear, disease and dread, the world would surely be a better place. This is what sparked the May/June article, Recommended Activities for Choosing Love over Fear.
For readers (or friends of readers) in the Denver area, please note the information below that tells you about the Conscious Health~Conscious Wealth seminar I am offering on May 3 at For Heaven's Sake bookshop.
And check out the dates for my new Nia workshop entitled "Igniting the Power of the Pelvis: Amplifying Joy, Healing, Passion and Creativity." See below for details of the June workshops scheduled on both coasts: Seattle, WA and Charlottesville, VA.
Thank you for you many kind comments of how this newsletter has been supporting your wellness. And thank you for reading this issue and passing it along to those who might want to hear about good news for a change.
Choosing love,
Susan Tate, MA, Editor Director, Washington Wellness Associates

RECOMMENDED ACTIVITIES FOR CHOOSING LOVE OVER FEAR
The September 2008 issue of the Well Being Newsletter focused on "5 Steps to Choosing Love over Fear." I feel compelled to revisit the topic as I observe what appears to be a rising level of news events reported in repeated layers of fear, doom and gloom. What we focus on expands! We can focus on fear or love. It's our choice. We have the power to create a revolution based on love rather than fearful thinking. Do you want to join me?
During the 1990s, I was involved with health promotion programming at the University of Virginia. "Make your choices based on love, not fear" was the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross quote we selected to be printed on the back of the condom packs provided during sexuality workshops. (Yes, stop and think about it. We wanted students making safer choices because they had a respect and love for themselves more than they feared unwanted pregnancy or HIV/AIDS-related illness. We wanted them to "know" what they were saying "yes" to.) I believe this quote is a powerful, love-filled statement.
