This year, plans are in the works for a Casino Night on Saturday, May 14, another PAWareness Pet Fair the following Saturday, May 21 and the 5th Annual  

Putt 4 Paws Golf Tournament at Doral Golf Resort later this year. The funds from these annual events allow us to save hundreds of dogs each year.

It's no secret that there is a pet overpopulation crisis in Miami-Dade County that leads to the euthanasia of approximately a hundred and fifty animals every day.  

Paws 4 You Rescue strives to make a positive impact in this epidemic. We are a no kill shelter. Instead, we care and treat dogs with a variety of conditions and ailments, have an excellent track record for placing special needs dogs and have well documented success stories.

Currently, we are responsible for over a hundred dogs and have committed to these animals until forever families are found. The monthly costs to care for them are just over $6,000.  Add that to the veterinarian costs and other expenditures and it quickly adds up to $20,000 a month.

How can you help? Any sized project that supports Paws 4 You is a good project! Fundraisers may include partnering with other families or friends or helping your child create a project for their community service responsibilities. Coming up with profitable fundraisers is easy!  

There are lots of individual fundraisers that you can put together fairly easily (e.g., dinner parties, car washes, bake sales, etc.) and still raise significant amounts of money. All it takes is a little event creativity and you can easily raise between $600 and $1,000 in a single day!

While the purpose of this newsletter is to outline some of the ways you can raise funds, we would like to emphasize that there is not a "one size fits all" solution. Fundraising events vary in complexity but the final results are very rewarding, no matter how much you earn. The most important thing to remember is to keep the FUN in your fundraising! Many of the top fundraising ideas can be good fun and can be as easy as sending out an email to your family and friends to ask them to sign up for a Paws 4 You Rescue credit card or donate in your name for an upcoming birthday. Ideas for fundraising come in plenty of different shapes and sizes so it is important that you conduct the proper analysis when you review a listing of the best fundraising ideas.
