-Nottenroth! Hello Bruery Imbibers! This weekend we have all kinds of new brews for our favorite Tasting Room locals. We'll be bringing back some old classics that haven't seen the tasting room in a while, a brand new brew and a new version of Humulus Lager through our randall. This weekend we will be releasing our newest happy mistake: Nottenroth. The name, as many of you might notice, is a play on our Berliner-style wheat beer Hottenroth. Unfortunately our recent batch of Hottenroth refused to sour and, although the beer tastes great, it doesn't taste much like Hottenroth. Luckily our brewers are creative thinkers and we turned this unsour-Hottenroth batch into an equally delicious brew: Nottenroth. How'd they do it? They took this great tasting, not-sour, low alcohol wheat beer and added a whole mess of kumquats! Glasses will be just $4 and growlers will be available for $10! This weekend we are also going to be serving some wonderful leftovers from our Reserve Society Initiation Party. On Friday we will be putting Iniquitous, our 10% ABV Belgian Golden Strong, on draft and Saturday we will be putting Einer's Folly on draft for everyone to enjoy! In case you missed it, Einer's Folley was the winner of a homebrew competition held by Holiday Wine in San Diego for their 45th anniversary in October of 2009. That 8.5% ABV imperial porter was brewed with vanilla beans and bourbon soaked oak cubes and will be available for this weekend only! Come on out to try it before it is gone for good! We saved a few kumquats from Nottenroth and we'll be filtering Humulus Lager through a randall jam packed with these tasty fruits. The citrus and tart characteristics of the kumquats should perfectly complement the already bright and clean hop character of Humulus Lager. Growlers of that delicious brew, along with regular Humulus Lager, will be available for purchase in the Tasting Room all weekend! See you in the Tasting Room! This weekend at the Tasting Room we're pouring: Saison Rue * Growlers Available |
