-First Firkin Friday!
-Birra Basta Release!
-Fresh Humulus Lager and Loakal Red!

Hi Everybody!

After a whirlwind week at GAFB, the Bruery team is back in Orange County with some extra hardware and we are ready to celebrate all weekend in the Tasting Room. We'll be having a firkin and a beer release this Friday with some fresh batches of old classics coming in to make for a great time around the brewery.

This is the first Friday of the month which can only mean one thing: a firkin on some tasty Bruery brew. This month we are featuring cask-conditioned Humulus Wet to start off the weekend right. Citra and Chinook hops combine perfectly in Wet to create an irresistible citrus and pine aroma in that 4.7% ABV hoppy ale. For you hop-lovers who will undoubtedly come in for some of that delicious Wet, we also have super-fresh batches of Loakal Red and Humulus Lager in this weekend, so come in and get some while they are at their peak!

Friday night we will also be having our Orange County release of Birra Basta. Born out of a pizza making session with Pizzeria Basta of Boulder, CO and James Beard Award winning bread maker Peter Reinhart, we came up with this 8.5% ABV Biere de Garde style ale brewed with roasted zucchini, lemon peel, fennel seeds and cedar chips. The result is a delightfully easy to drink beer with notes of citrus and a slight reminiscence of squash. There is a well balanced malt character and the cedar has imparted that slightly musty flavor that Biere de Gardes are known for. Although we can't recreate the pizza for you here in the Tasting Room, the beer was still a resounding success and we are excited to share it with you!

As always we will be having some great food trucks here this weekend! Friday night the Lime Truck of the Food Network's Great American Food Truck Race will be around to be dishing up some of their signature grub and Saturday night ShortStop BBQ will be by with their signature BBQ style. Sunday should be especially good as the Slapfish truck will have special discounts on food for people drinking Bruery beer!

See you all this weekend!
