Hello Everyone,

The all volunteer staff of the MCBA has been busy smashing atoms, moving mountains, washing dishes, manipulating electrons, promoting print peculiarities and more in frenzied preparation and we're happy to report that things are really coming together for the rapidly approaching 21st Annual MCBA Comic Book Celebration this upcoming weekend! Most of the heavy lifting is already completed and we fully expect to nail down the few remaining renegade details by mid week. We are on the launch pad and we are totally laser focused on making this year being our biggest whoop dee do ever!

We also wanted to take this opportunity to thank those fun lovin FallCon fans who have really stepped up and have helped promote FallCon via their e-mails, websites, tweeting, blogs, internet, snail mails, flyer distribution, word of mouth, Pony Express, etc. It's noticed and really appreciated!

On another front, the local weather wizards are predicting that it's going to be a little nippy this upcoming weekend and we encourage you to watch and plan accordingly!

Finally, we've said it before and we mean it again, THANKS for your participation and support. As our community continues to grow we recognize that without you, none of what we do, would be possible. We're really looking forward to seeing all of you and all of us being together this weekend and setting a good chunk of the comic book world on fire!

Respectfully,

The MCBA Volunteer Geek Squad - The Original Geek Squad!

PS. There will be heat in the Grandstand!

LONG TIME MCBA PRIZE LADY MAKES STUNNING ANNOUNCEMENT!
MCBA volunteers, Guest Creators, Retailers & Fans Still Reeling!
LisaLong time MCBA Loud & Proud Prize Prize lady and Super Volunteer, Lisa Edmundson made a shocking announcement earlier this week! Via her husband, Mike Edmundson, also a long term Super Volunteer, she announced to the world that "I won't be available for the 2009 MCBA Comic Book Celebration!" The announcement hit our community like an atomic bomb. The MCBA Investigative division immediately swung into action and discovered the reason for Mrs. Edmundsons shocking announcement! Evidently, after much searching she finally landed a new job! Can you imagine? Letting a new job getting in the way of participating in FallCon! On a more serious level, Lisa wanted us to extend greetings to all of you, regrets that she won't be able to make it this year and finally she issued a stern warning to all  "I'll be back!" Congratulations to Lisa at her new job! We'll miss you much this year!
