Hello, ladies!
 
As Renew came to a close in April, we said goodbye for now to a wonderful teacher, mentor, and leader, Mrs. Judy McKnight.  After 9 years of answering the call to be the Director of Renew, Judy will now take on other important tasks in life such as giving a beautiful wedding for her daughter Carly, as well as helping to support her loving husband Joe and amazing son Trent.  Judy has been a member of the church for nearly 30 years.  She has also been a faithful servant for that same amount of time.  Judy was also one of the founding members of our prayer ministry.  Her service for the past 9 years with Renew has included teaching, leading, organizing, directing, training, developing, writing, and praying.  From the moment I met Judy I knew she was a woman of God and that she loved Jesus.  I light-heartedly refer to her as a true "Jesus girl".  Her compassionate heart, kind words, meaningful prayers, inspiring teachings, and gracious manner has been not only a pleasure to work with but wonderful reasons to call her my friend. Although Judy will be missed in her leadership capacity, I know we will see her often as she continues to worship at The Woodlands UMC. I also tend to believe that a servant heart like hers will be called upon again, and when that happens, we will welcome her with open arms.  Thank you once again, Judy, for your years of service and using your amazing gift of teaching to inspire and change the hearts of women all for the glory of His kingdom.
 
Renew is such a special part of our ministry.  It's a Bible study like none other. This study develops strong relationships among women while diving into the word and literally changing hearts.  Testimony after testimony has been given about the love and joy that was found in Jesus Christ during a year of Renew.  As God continues to develop this ministry, Renew faces some changes, but these changes are exciting.  There will be a teaching team next year of 3 women. Kimberly Constant and Lynda Willis have already answered the call to teach.  After hearing their testimony and their enthusiasm, we are so excited to see what God is going to do through these amazing women.  Registration for the upcoming year of Renew is open. Spirit of Women Luncheons

The Women's ministry is kicking off a series of bi-monthly luncheons called Spirit of Women Luncheons designed for all women working and non-working to join together in fun and fellowship and to just celebrate being a woman.


Charming Charlie's will provide a fashion show while Dr. Sakina Davis from the Woodlands Wellness and Cosmetic Center will present a short talk on healthy living. Attendees will receive a Charming Charlie's discount as well as 50% off microderm abrasion at the cosmetic center.

Ladies' Wednesday Night Bible Study
The Ladies' Wednesday Night Bible study invites you and your friends to join us on Wednesday evenings this Summer, 6:30-8:30 p.m., in the Wesley Fellowship Hall. June 9 - August 11. Mom2Mom Summer Bible Study
The Mom2Mom group invites mothers of children ages birth to school age for a summer Bible study. This year's study will be "Life Principals Taught by the Women of the Bible", by Wayne Barber, Eddie Rasnake, and Richard Shepherd. The study meets Thursday mornings beginning May 27th, skipping the first week of June, through August 19th from 9:30am to 12:00pm. Beth Moore Bible Study
The Beth Moore study will continue meeting through summer this year with the new Revelations study by Beth Moore called "Here and Now, There and Then". The study will run from May 26th to August 18th on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00am. "A Perfect Mess" by Lisa Harper Mini-Bible Study
In this liberating look at how God adores and transforms imperfect people, Bible teacher Lisa Harper weaves poignant stories of her own personal foibles with a fresh take on selected Psalms to reveal a loving Father who remains your greatest champion even when you don't feel anywhere close to holy. The study, led by Deborah Nixon, will meet Tuesdays, June 15th through June 29th from 10:00 to 12:00pm. Spanish Bible Study - "Conversacion Apacible" by Mary A. Kassian
This study, led by Margarita Houston, will teach you how to use Bible principals in everyday conversation and carefully guarding the words that you speak.  The group will meet Wednesdays from May 12th to June 30th from 1:00 to 2:30pm.
