Dear Congregants,

It may be hot outside, but you'll find respite in study and fellowship at CRS this month! Come be enlightened by authors Joy Ladin (Through the Door of Life: A Jewish Journey between Genders) and Daniel Smith (Monkey Mind: A Memoir of Anxiety), as they discuss their groundbreaking memoirs. And be sure to join us for a transformative observance of Tisha B'av.

Tisha B'av: Study and Service

Sowing in Tears, Reaping in Joy: Moving from Sorrow to Solace from 586 BCE to 2012

Sunday, July 29: Study at 6:30 PM,

followed by service at 7:30 PM

On Tisha B'av, we mark the destruction of the first and second Temples in Jerusalem, as well as the tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people since then. Though the tone of the day is somber, we have the opportunity to rise up out of our sadness to a place of comfort at day's close. Join us for a study session that will explore how we may shift between such highs and lows in a Jewish context in our own lives
