We are pleased to announce a special evening, with 100% of the proceeds going to MOSS's scholarship fund.
AT 5:30 P.M. FRIDAY, APRIL 20th,
twenty Gallatin Valley professional photographers will come together
for a one-of-a-kind event:
Come join us for an amazing evening, featuring many of the area's most talented photographers - all together in one show. By attending, you'll also have the opportunity to meet the photographers and discuss their work.
Each photographer will be displaying an image showing the experience of children from birth to high school. In addition, each photographer will be offering a session package for silent auction.
At the end of the evening a live auction will be held for a week's stay at an extraordinary Montana family get-away (valued at over $4,500).
Money raised will be donated to Montana Outdoor Science School to fund scholarships for children in need.
Refreshments and hour d'ouvres will be on-hand, along with live music. The show - at the Fisher Conference Center, 503 East Mendenhall - opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes with the live auction at 8:00 p.m.

Longtime friend and resident, Mikey, a Northern Leopard Frog passed away on March 3rd. Mikey was not much for the public eye, hiding away in his aquarium whenever possible. However, when he went into the schools, it seemed like Mikey enjoyed the attention.

BECOME A MASTER NATURALIST - ENROLL NOW
Imagine hiking a favorite trail. You hear a bird calling. You're not sure what kind of bird it be, but it sure has a beautiful song. You spot it perched on a branch. Suddenly, the bird swoops down, grabs an insect, and lands back on the same branch. You wonder: is this typical behavior for that bird, or is it injured? Is it likely to be found on the same branch when you finish your hike later in the day?
As a Certified Master Naturalist, you'll know the answer to this question and many, many others.
Master Naturalist classes begin on May 1st and occur every Tuesday and Thursday evening for the month of May. Registration for the course is $395. Go to http://outdoorscience.org/adults for more information or call me at 582-0526. Register today, as space is limited.
These programs are offered with assistance from the Montana Natural History Center (Missoula) and funding provided by the Kendeda Fund. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Steve

About MOSS
Founded in 1994 by three inspired women with an extraordinary vision, Montana Outdoor Science School has been getting kids outside and exploring nature for the last 16 years. Building on the foundation established by Martha Collins, Louise Forrest, and Martha Kauffman, MOSS programs bring environmental concepts to life through hands-on educational activities focused on our natural surroundings.
When children participate in a MOSS program, they not only learn the difference between antlers and horns, or why trees shed their leaves in the fall; they also build leadership and communication skills while developing a stronger sense of place.
Using the outdoors as our classroom, MOSS programs are designed to open the door and illuminate the path to a greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the natural world through quality educational experiences. Learn more about MOSS at www.outdoorscience.org.
