Isabella
Dear Demi,
You are my favorite! I am Isabella, and while I was fighting cancer, watching you gave me energy. Good luck on your world tour.

Isabella is an 8-year-old girl that dreamed of meeting her favorite Disney Channel star, singer and actress Demi Lovato. Much like the character Demi plays on TV, Isabella is "very inspiring, uplifting, warm, and not just to family, but also to friends and acquaintances." Isabella wanted to see Demi Lovato in concert for her Small Miracle. Isabella's stem cell transplant threatened to keep her from Demi's world tour that Isabella so desperately wanted to attend. So a telephone meeting was set up between Demi and her biggest fan. Isabella and her mom were in the hospital clinic on June 25th when Demi Lovato called Isabella. Mom teared up as she passed the telephone to Isabella. Demi called to wish Isabella a Happy Birthday and she could not have been happier! 
After a very special Bear Necessities donor heard Isabella's story, he arranged tickets for her and her family to attend Demi Lovato's world tour. Isabella and her family sat in box seats to hear the concert. An hour before the show, Isabella's dream turned into a reality when she met Demi Lovato! Demi remembered placing the birthday call to Isabella in the hospital. After Demi finished greeting all her fans, she took Isabella's hand and gave her and her family a private backstage tour and VIP access into her dressing room!
Isabella's mom said that Demi was "so caring", and that the evening was something the family "will never forget."

Raises $50,000 for pediatric cancer!

On August 13th, golfers, sponsors, contributors, and volunteers gathered at the Eaglewood Resort and Spa in Itasca, IL for the 16th Annual "Golf for the Bear" event hosted by 97.9 The Loop and Jonathan Brandmeier.

The fun-filled day included a silent auction, raffle, a marshmallow drive, and the "Outdrive the Survivor" hole. This year's event was a tremendous success raising $50,000 for pediatric cancer!

| 15TH ANNUAL "RUN FOR THE BEAR" |

Algonquin, IL
On Sunday, September 27th, runners and walkers will gather at Eastview Elementary School in Algonquin, IL to kick off the 15th Annual "Run for the Bear".
The day will include a 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run, a 'One Mile Fun Run' and field events for children. If you or someone you know would like to register online, CLICK HERE. After September 25th, day of registration will be available.
