We have been receiving lots of positive feedback aboutRobb SFAI our January 12th conference attended by over 150 people. There was a lot of bad news in the numerous presentations by experts and practitioners, but also many good ideas and shared commitment for getting our economy back on track. Presentations and materials from the conference are now available.

Our Partners: Initiatives for Health Care Cost Containment

This December, the Maine Center for Economic PolicyDoctor along with seven other nonprofit organizations, was awarded a two-year grant from the Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF) to promote strategic cost-containment policies to preserve and expand access to health care. These organizations will be working on multiple initiatives to bring Maine's burgeoning health care costs down without sacrificing quality of care or access. MeHAF will convene the funded organizations regularly so groups can learn and build on each other's work. Now is the time for health care reform on the state and national level, and MECEP is proud to be at the forefront of this important work.
Sincerely,
