Fall Weed Prevention
Are you tired of fighting a lawn full of weeds in the spring? The Georgia Extension Service recommends October as the time to apply a Pre-emergent herbicide for cool season weeds. To over simplify how a Pre-emergent herbicide works, it forms a thin layer of protection on the soil's surface, therefore when the weed seeds germinate they are killed before they have a chance to get established. Annual weeds represent most of our winter and spring weed problems. Remember that Pre-emergents will only control annual weeds before they germinate. Seasons Garden Center has a good supply of both pre and post-emergent herbicides, as well as answers to your weed problems.

 Olive Trees
The olive (Olea europaea) is one of the most cited plants in literature. A native to the Mediterranean region, the olive has been cultivated for some 7,000 years and can live for more than 2,000 years. Olive is a very hardy tree that is drought, disease, and salt resistant. Seasons Garden Center has a fine selection of both fruiting and ornamental olives such as 'Little Ollie,'a dwarf olive that can be used as a container or hedge plant.
