"Who's got your back?"
I find the best way to save time is not to waste it in the first place. Back-up plans don't just happen on their own. The better prepared you are, the less time you'll waste catching up when the unexpected happens (and it will happen)...
1. Back-up your computer & PDA (phone). How often? There is no "right" answer. The better question is, "How much are you willing to lose?" Do yourself a favor, keep the backup in a different location.
2. Put your phone number & the word "REWARD" on any gear you'd be sad to lose. Over the last 9 years of global business travel, I've left my laptop on a plane, had a digital camera fall out of my pocket in the mall parking lot, and forgot my iPod in a taxi. I promise, this works! I've gotten each of my items back. Some people really will do the right thing, given a chance.
3. Re-confirm appointments. Call
1 business day in advance. People get busy and forget, or the world
changes, or something BIG happens. Whatever the reason, take
responsibility to avoid last minute cancellations and being stood up.
4. *** Road Warrior Bonus *** Get a spare I.D. from the DMV. I keep a California State Identification card in my carry on luggage. This way my driver's license always stays in my wallet. Trust me.

"I
have worked with Jason on two occasions: during a workplace productivity workshop Jason taught at my company, and for follow-up private coaching session.
Both were great, fun and very useful. Jason is a terrific presenter, he has a deep knowledge of the subject and his content is highly relevant to his audience - it was to me and I got the same feedback from other people in the workshop.
Jason
is a very good listener and motivator - he quickly understood my
problems and came up with creative ways to help me. He started by
explaining the high level picture (which was very helpful, instead of focusing directly on specific issues), and then gave me practical, achievable steps that I could apply to achieve my goals."
