Call for Artist for Hazleton Mural Project
Due to the small number of responses received from the call for artists for a collaborative mural at Pine Street Park in Hazleton, the group coordinating the project, which includes representatives of the Cultural Council along with the Concerned Parents of the Hazleton Area (CPHA) and the United Way of Greater Hazleton, has decided to extend the deadline for submissions and completion of the project, as well as to remove the geographic limitation for applicants.
The project includes providing some preliminary art lessons for children from 7 to 14 years of age. The capstone of the project will be the creation of a mural in the Pine Street park. The mural must be completed no later than September 15th. The stipend for the artist is $500.
Please email your name and mailing address along with a brief description of your experience in working with children and include any experience you may have in developing an outdoor mural. If possible, please indicate how to view examples of your work online, or attach some relevant examples.
