Have Fun with Your Campaign

It's not always easy to get everyone on board with campaigns each year. Handing out pledge cards to your employees is a great method of attaining pledges, but there are additional ways to get your staff excited about giving this year! The following are fun ideas to pair with passing out pledge cards that will build company morale while raising funds for Cedar Valley United Way.

Voting Contests
Get your staff involved by charging a few dollars to vote on various contests:

Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest - Have workers bring in carved pumpkins. For a small fee, other staff members can vote for their favorite!
Ugliest Accessory Contest - Wear your ugliest ties, hats, or jewelry to work for a day while your coworkers decide who wears it worst.
Cook-Off - Pay to taste-test and vote for the best apple pie or spiciest chili.
Cubicle Decorating Contest - Show off your work space to your fellow employees.
Employee Funniest Videos - Charge admission to a showing of home videos from the staff. The video with the most laughs wins the prize!

Races/Competitions

Bring out the competitive edge among your employees. For a small entry fee, they can participate in these friendly in-office games:

Office Bowling - Set 10 empty pop bottles up in the hallway of your office. Employees can pay per throw or sign up a team for a tournament throughout the work week.
Spelling Bee - Enter a lunch hour spelling bee for the chance to win prizes and bragging rights!
Paper Airplane Contest - Judge how far each employee can soar their airplane. Additional donations go toward voting for the best constructed model.
Putt-putt - Pay per putt and earn points throughout the week. Highest score at the end of the week wins.
Office-Wide Scavenger Hunt - Support the cause and participate in a day-long hunt around your office.

Prize Ideas

  • Lottery Tickets
