A "SURPRISE" for Chris Withers

Thursday, January 27 wasn't an ordinary business meeting. Under the guise of another meeting for Needle's Eye, Chris Withers entered Willow Oaks Country Club only to be met by a boisterous "SURPRISE!"- it was a reception held in his honor.
Graciously hosted by Craig and Annhorner Truitt, the evening was full of warm memories and laughter as many shared their favorite stories of how Chris served Needle's Eye over the past 8 years. Read more

Q: "What was the thing that surprised you the most about 3Q tonight?"
A: "The speakers were really honest- they just put their lives out there like an open book."
"Well, these guys have huge titles in corporations, but they talked about the gritty stuff that they went through. It was really reassuring to know that everyone has bumps in the road- that you can go through ups and downs and still come out on the other side." On Wednesday, February 23, a capacity crowd of 27 young professionals gathered at the Rocketts Landing Sales Center as NEM kicked off its inaugural "3Q: 3 Questions, 3 Leaders" event. Read more

Rachael Hill grew up in Richmond where she attended Grove Avenue Christian School before heading off to Va Tech to study biochemistry. As an 18-year-old freshman, she looked forward to a career in nanotechnology, loved learning French, and was a classic pianist and skilled volleyball player. On April 16, 2007, Rachael was killed while attending French class. She was among 32 people who lost their lives at the hands of a gunman on Va Tech's campus that day. Read More
