 At a conference table, in a nondescript room, a group of people gathered together and prayed. Naturally, there were prayers seeking guidance and wisdom for the New Year - prayers seeking direction. But overwhelmingly, there were prayers of gratitude.

Michael Thaler, Owner and Managing Partner of Equity Concepts, LLC and Founder & International Executive Director, Effective Ministries, Inc.
Michael Thaler was born into an Orthodox Jewish home in Altoona, PA. At the age of six, his parents divorced, and his mother and three siblings moved to Virginia Beach. With not enough money to pay dues to a local synagogue, Michael and his family found they were unable to practice Judaism. At 4:30 AM one cold morning, Michael prayed while folding newspapers, "God if you're real, please take care of me and my mother." Read More
