5 Signs It's Time For A Career Change
Catherine Lang-Cline, Owner
"Making the decision to change your career can be a difficult one. Especially if you've been in your profession for years and feel that it's part of who you are. But there are some signs that it might be time to think a little more fully about your work situation, and perhaps make the leap into something new."

Mac Tips & Hints
In Apple's new version of Mac OSX (Lion), there are several user interface changes. Some are good, but others not so much. By default, Lion makes Apple's Mail application display folders and messages just like an iPad. I love this layout on my iPad, but not on my MacBook Pro. To go back to the look and feel you're used to, go into Mail's preferences & click on the Viewing tab. When you check the box that says "Use classic layout", it should go back to looking like the familiar Mail application.
One very cool change in Lion is with Apple's Preview application. Preview is Apple's default image viewer and comes with every Mac. It will handle PDFs, JPGs, TIFs, or most any other image format. Starting with Lion, you can now add a signature to PDF documents. In Preview's preferences, there is now a Signatures tab. Sign your name to a white piece of paper & click "Create Signature." Your Mac's camera will capture the signature, which can then be placed onto any PDF document. The signature can then be saved for use later as well. It's worth noting that this only works with PDFs.
Sometimes it's really handy to take a screen shot of what's displayed on the iPhone. Perhaps you've seen these in the Camera Roll without knowing how they got there. To take a screen shot on an iPhone, simply press the power button and the home button at the same time. You'll hear the familiar camera sound and the resulting picture is stored in the Camera Roll section of the Photos app. The same process works on the iPad as well.

Workplace Flexibility: The New Normal
Kristen Harris, Owner
"We keep hearing the phrase "the new normal," and wondered what exactly that means for the world of work and jobs. With that phrase, essentially experts are saying "don't expect things to return to exactly how they were pre-recession, what you're seeing now is about what your expectations should be."
