CREATIVELY SPEAKING ABOUT THE LATEST CREATIVE NEWS
Greetings!

We've had an exciting month at Portfolio! A couple weeks ago we announced the opening of our second location - Dayton, OH. We selected Dayton because of the high level of creative talent and the city's effort to attract and retain creative businesses and organizations. Read our entire official press release on our blog.

Additionally, we've joined the Dayton American Marketing Association and the Greater Dayton Ad Association. If you are a member or if you attend as a guest, be sure to look for us, we'd love to meet you!

Finally, we've added another section to our ezine, 'Dayton Creative Scene.' Whether you live in the Dayton area, or don't mind the short drive over, we'll let you know about a few of the exciting events going on for the month.

Agora1

It's back! One of our favorite creative events of the year, Agora. If you haven't experienced it yet, here's what you've been missing: Agora is an immersive event that brings artists and art patrons together to celebrate Central Ohio's diverse and talented creative community.

Agora guests have the opportunity to view and purchase hundreds of works of art, wander through fifty working artists' studios, and watch performances by dancers, musicians, and theatre groups.

Held at Junctionview Studios in Grandview Heights, Agora 7 will be held on Saturday, May 22nd from noon-midnight. $5 entrance fee.

There's a cool preview party on Friday night where guests will have the first chance to view and purchase artwork on display while enjoying specially-selected performances and refreshments from local restaurants. $20 presale, $25 at the door.

As a sponsor, we're excited to present the "Portfolio Creative Print Design Award," as well as support the printing of the Agora event program. Hope to see you there!

Critical Thinking and Creativity Key: Job-Seekers Need to Be Prepared

-Kristen Harris, Portfolio Owner

Hiring companies are looking for critical and creative thinkers. Are your skills up-to-date? Check out Kristen's point of view in the article below.

"If businesses consider skills like creativity, innovation, professionalism and strong ethics to be important, but they are not providing training for those skills, then it is left to the job seeker to build the skills on their own.

Out & About

Earth Day Team

In our efforts to stay 'green,' Portfolio team members took to the streets on Earth Day. We cleaned up a section of High Street in our Clintonville neighborhood. Our largest find? A hubcap! Our most valuable find? A cell phone!
