Whether you're approaching graduation, or you were a student 20 years ago, April can be a blur. Finals around the corner, portfolios due, projects to complete. Not to mention getting your resume perfected and applying for a job. In this April ezine, we have tips and resources for soon-to-be graduates, current job-seekers, and recommendations to help employers looking to add to their team.

Did you see the recent survey that ranks Columbus as one of the best cities for young adults? Proof that soon-to-be graduates may just want to stick around after graduation. Why not be the first to see their creative potential by attending a juried exhibition or portfolio review? Here are three local events, or check out your favorite school's calendar for upcoming shows.

OSU Undergraduate Juried Exhibit - April 6th: Selected by a jury of arts professionals, this annual exhibition showcases the works of undergraduate Ohio State students in the Department of Art.

Ohio University Student Juried Exhibit - Runs through April 8th. A highly competitive juried exhibition featuring the artwork created by Ohio University School of Art undergraduate students.

CCAD Directions- April 28th: Select senior students and recent December graduates from Columbus College of Art & Design to showcase their portfolios for potential employers. Portfolios are faculty juried so employers are able to meet creative professionals who are ready to enter the workforce.

We'll be attending CSCA's Student Design Competition on April 19th at OSU's Knowlton Hall.

Six emerging design students were challenged to help Local Matters raise funds for their organization. This Columbus not-for-profit educates children about the joys of eating wholesome, local foods and provides opportunities for everyone in the community to buy and sell locally grown food.

Join us at 6:30 for food and drinks, followed by the presentation at 7:30. There is a suggested donation of $5 to help fund CSCA scholarships.
