 Opportunity Knocks
Try Before You Buy
Portfolio Owner, Catherine Lang-Cline, offers expert advice on how a placement agency can save you time and money. Click the link below the excerpt to read the entire article.
"Using a placement agency that allows you to bring someone in on a trial basis could be a perfect solution. It is a time and cost savings to not only have a temp firm review and send you ideal candidates, but also to have them pay the candidate until you know whether or not a person is a fit for your position."

Creative Scene
So, you might have heard
that ArtBistro ranked
Columbus #18 in the top 25 cities for designers and artists. Did you
also know that 50% of the entire U.S. population lives within a 500 mile
radius of Columbus?
With so many
organizations like The Ohio Art League, The Couchfire Collective,
Columbus Society of Communicating Arts, Columbus Underground and many
others, it's no wonder so many creatives set up shop here!
We're
especially excited to see the highly anticipated birth of Wonderland Columbus, a unique
multi-use space for all types of creative firms and endeavors in the old
Wonder Bread factory building.

How Are Design Jobs Changing?
Kristen Harris, Portfolio Owner, shares her published article on current design trends and employment outlooks. "So, how are design jobs changing? The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
expects employment of designers to grow at about the same rate as for
all occupations, an increase of about 10% from 2006 to 2016. However,
they also note several times that individuals with design software
knowledge, particularly web site design and animation experience, will
have the best opportunities." "Design Job Forecast: A Look Ahead."
