Now home to many of Italy's most famous styles of wine - Brunello, Vino Nobile, Chianti, Super-Tuscans, and Vin Santo - it was not until the early 20th century that Tuscany was blessed with a quality revolution. With a growing international wine market incorporating not only the Old World vineyards of Europe but also the newer, bolder styles coming from places like Argentina, South Africa, California, and Australia, Tuscany was launched into competition with a much broader and varied market than the world had ever seen.
