With such a dramatic landscape, it is no wonder that villages and vineyards separated by a mere ten miles can speak different dialects, create different foods, and produce extremely different wines. For wine geeks and connoisseurs especially, Italy can be a study of terroir with over 2500 microclimates, each begging to be explored and experienced.
