Panzano's long time General Manager Fred Mullins will be joining Adonna Wine Imports next week as a partner, so this week marks Fred's last full time week at Panzano. 

Don't worry, Fred will still be involved with various activities like consulting on our wine selection, writing for this newsletter and hosting occasional weekend tastings at the store.  This is a great opportunity for Fred and we are very excited for him, but also sad to see him go.  Please stop by Panzano for this Friday's tasting (5-7PM) to wish Fred well and meet our new General Manager Sarah Moore.   We will share more about Sarah in the coming weeks, but she has been with Panzano for quite some time so you have probably met her already. 

We have some great wines to taste this Friday and Saturday.  So if you will still be in town, it's definitely worth the trip over to the store.  Austin Slitt of Vinifera Imports will be our guest pourer on Saturday and Fred will be pouring Friday.

Tomasso's special dessert to benefit Mass Farmer's Markets will be available only through this Saturday.   It's a local rhubarb tart with local strawberry gelato. 

The menu is starting to come together for Tomasso's "Two Hour" Local Dinner on Friday, July 20th at 6:30PM (think Tamworth pig from Concord, MA).  The menu will be put together entirely using ingredients that come from within a two hour drive from Tomasso.  It should be great fun and we will have some special guests as well.  Cost is $50 per person, plus tax/tip.  Call 508-481-8484 to reserve or book online.

They not only have a passion for wine, but they understand the efforts and nuances involved in opening up the world of wine to people. One such individual is Austin Slitt of Vinifera Imports. Austin is a wine geek to the core, and we like that; but more importantly he has a firm grip on wine (Italian in particular) which is why we are letting him host this week's tasting.
