Featured this week
Humboldt Fog is a goat milk cheese made by Cypress Grove Chevre, of Arcata, California. This distinct and delicious cheese is named after the county it originates from: Humboldt County. But more specifically, it is named for the local ocean fog which rolls in from Humboldt Bay. Humboldt Fog is a mold-ripened cheese with a central line of edible and flavorless ash. The cheese ripens starting with the bloomy mold exterior, resulting in a core of fresh goat cheese surrounded by a runny shell.

WEEKEND WINE TASTING
BY FRED MULLINS, GENERAL MANAGER
COMPLIMENTARY TASTING FRIDAY 5-7pm · SATURDAY 4-7pm
Westport Rivers
Many people do not realize that there is wine being made in Massachusetts. Or if they do, they assume that it must not be very good. Well we have what is arguably one of the best producers of sparkling wine in the States in Westport Rivers Winery. So for the tasting this week, we will be featuring the efforts and talents of this local winery: Westport Rivers of Westport, MA. I would like to say that we are careful to choose which wineries we work with. We focus first on quality, then value, and if the wine makes the grade we will purchase it because it's good wine. It may seem that our weather would be unsuitable for growing grapes, and while I'll agree that New England climate is hard to get along with, it is similar to regions in Northern France and Italy.
