Please help us to welcome our newest Panzano staff member, Assistant Manager Sarah Porter.  Please say hi next time you are in the store.

We still have space available for our next wine dinner on Friday April 27th featuring Westport Rivers and winemaker Bill Russell.  This will also serve as our Welcome Dinner for new chef Neil Rogers.  The five course menu  prepared by Neil and the Tomasso chefs will be paired with wines from Westport Rivers.  It's $65/person.  Click here to book your spot!

Fred will be featuring some great roses at Panzano this weekend, just in time for the warmer weather and this week's Friday FourPack features wines from Puglia.

We hope to see you this week at Tomasso and Panzano.

New and Fabulous: Effie's Semolina Crackers!

Featured this week

As you already know, Effie's Homemade Oatcakes are what started it all. These buttery and delicious oatcakes are from a simple family recipe from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. But, thanks to the 4th generation family bringing their recipe to Hyde Park, Massachusetts we can all enjoy these perfect and versatile tea biscuits. The most recent Effie's creations are their new and fantastic crackers! They made these rustic semolina crackers years ago in their catering shop, and in no time they became a huge favorite. Thankfully, they finally decided to expand their retail to include these amazing crackers.  READ MORE>

WEEKEND WINE TASTING

Viewing the World Through Rose Colored Glasses!

Rosés are now in full bloom..."This early?", one might question...well, yes: if you're speaking about wine. This is a glorious time of year when all those fantastic rose/rosato wines start pouring in (pun intended). As the weather persists with warm sunny days that fade into cool nights, rosés are a refreshing choice. Put to rest the notion of any link or similarity between white zin and rose. Rosés are not sweet flabby wines without charm; they are, however, vibrant food-friendly wines with broad appeal. Roses can range in style from fresh and citrus-forward to lush and fuller-bodied wines with decent tannin. Serve with a light chill and pair with foods like citrus salads or seafood (think steamed mussels or freshly shucked oysters). They also work brilliantly with grilled meats and poultry like pork and chicken and (of course) they are fantastic with pizza. Another user- friendly quality that rosés tend to offer is great affordability. Most really good roses come in under $15. If you're still not convinced, keep reading.   READ MORE>
