Black Friday through Cyber Monday!
Below are the retailers who participated last year and what they offered. This will give you some idea what to expect.
 We fully expect these promotions to be modified this year as retailers get creative to pull out all the stops during this year's economic downturn in order to obtain their percentage of the biggest spending weekend of the year.
TIP: Avoid standing in lines! Many of the retailers will have their specials on-line at 12:01 a.m. Thanksgiving day!

November Sales & Promotions Forecast

 In addition to Thanksgiving weekend specials, we'll start seeing a lot of Winter clearance in November.
In fact, we are seeing some retailers run the same promotions they ran last year, but 1-2 weeks earlier!
So, we predict we'll see more of this trend and see retailers try to get your attention and your cash BEFORE Thanksgiving this year.
Our data below is based on last year -- so watch for similar promotions to potentially run earlier this year.
BabyGap / GapKids
- Sleepwear - "2 for" deals, e.g. $19 each.
- Save 30%-60% and more on Fall Clearance. In early November, an additional 25% off may be offered.
- Watch for Double Rewards for card holders in early November.
- Watch for Gap Friends & Family discount weekend, save 30%, in early to mid-November.
- 15% Mailer coupons arrived in mid-November for use before Thanksgiving Day.
- Mid-November up to Thanksgiving Day, save $20 in stores on purchase over $75 (Gap card holders could save $25).
- End of November, another coupon mailer arrived for 15% off to be used the first week of December
- Expect to see Winter clearance by the end of November - ~ 30% off.

- Expect to see free shipping offers prior to Thanksgiving
- Expect to see additional 20% off clearance merchandise before Thanksgiving.
Garnet Hill
- Last year Garnet Hill offered a free Art Set for kids all November with purchase of $75
- Watch for Free Shipping offers early - mid-November (Last year, minimum purchase $75)
- We may see a repeat of the Kids and Family Sweater Sale in mid-November:
- Save 10% on 1 sweater
- Save 20% on 2 sweaters
- Save 30% on 3 sweaters
- Mid-November and prior to Thanksgiving, watch for savings of an additional 20% off on Kids Outerwear.
Gymboree
- Circle of Friends Sale coming up! Usually the first weekend in November, and this year 11/5 - 11/8. Save additional 30% on all merchandise.
- Jingle Deals - Updated weekly, all month long
- 20% off mailer coupon arrived to subscribers in early November -- good all month.
- Gymbucks earning continues
- Mid-November - take an additional 20% off Holiday styles.
Hanna Andersson
- Expect to see continued promotions on Holiday dresswear and sweaters.
- 50% savings on outwear will start within first 2 weeks of November.
- Expect to see a "Thanksgiving Sale" start mid-November and continue through Thanksgiving weekend. Many winter styles will be 50% off. This marks the beginning of gradual winter markdowns and final clearance.

What to Sell in November

 The secret is to piggyback on retailer promotions when it comes to selling resale. Retailers spend millions on their promotions to raise public awareness.
Here's some Categories and Items that should sell best on the resale market this month too, although with varying climates around the country, we also see a little more variety in resale than we do in retail.
Sleepwear - All month!
- Fall/Winter Pajamas, nightgowns, bathrobes, slippers
Holiday & Formal Wear - thru mid-December
- Now that Halloweeen is in the past, shoppers are very likely to start shopping around for Holiday items in early November.
- Winter formal wear also sells best in November, as it can be used for Thanksgiving, December holidays, and events all winter long.
Outerwear - All month!
- Winter is right around the corner in the northern states. Retailers will start promoting Winter Clearance.
- Think Snow & cold weather apparel, accessories, and boots!
- Lighter Outerwear may continue to sell well in November for people who live in warmer climates.
Winter Clothes - All month!
- Heavier winter clothing will start selling better this month as the Northern States feel the colder weather. Now is the time to start selling sweaters, hoodies, wool items, corduroys, more denims, heavier velours & velvets, etc.
