Christmas Traditions from
Our Homes to Yours!

Whether you're decorating outside or in, Christmas time gives us plenty of opportunity to be abundant with creativity. Above is Carol Bass' "Just Sold" house in New Jersey.
Jane Douglas' Christmas party table is just beginning to hold all the treats and treasures for her guest. The Christmas tree in the corner was decorated by Joanne Schaefges, who was a featured speaker at the last two SDP Conferences.

JoAnne Lenart-Weary laid a string of Christmas lights on the round table, covered with white tulle & gold mesh, then added shot glasses or votive cups to support the 30"round glass topper, before adding the centerpiece with additional tulle. She suggested a modification for the dining table, where the centerpiece is raised on glass shelf, and the cord runs down through a small opening in the leaf area of the table.

Christmas Eve Dinner at Alice Feltz's home is at this lovely table, set with her grandmother's china. Alice added crystal trees and angels to her china cabinet to fill-in the gaps when she removed the dishes. The 3-tiered cake plates in the center of the table hold some lovely Christmas bulbs and a candle.

Sometimes it's the simple pleasures of a hand-painted Nativity Scene that is shaped for little fingers to enjoy. Kris Porter painted these little characters when her children were young, so they could enjoy telling the Christmas story too.
Share the joy of the season with those around you!
