Charlotte Gerson's third book is a restatement of the Gerson Therapy aimed specifically at the "Metabolic Syndrome". The Metabolic Syndrome is a complex of problems centering on obesity that puts people's lives at risk from cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and stroke, the top four disease killers in the United States. Obesity shortens a person's lifespan by an average of six to seven years, and annually causes an estimated third of a million excess deaths in the US, and a million excess deaths in Europe. This volume examines the remedy for the underlying causes of obesity and its constant companions, diabetes and high blood pressure. Many readers will find the concepts and approach to Metabolic Syndrome very similar to those for cancer and other chronic diseases, as they stem directly from the Gerson Therapy. However, those people who are not so immediately at risk from malignant disease will be able to defeat their ailments with a somewhat less stringent approach than cancer patients. |

Researchers at the Environmental Working Group (EWG) have constructed a "Skin Deep" cosmetic safety database. You can search for a product, ingredient or company to find out how safe it is. This is an invaluable resource in a world where personal care products are not required to be tested for safety. The EWG's database found that more than a third of all personal care products contain at least one chemical linked to cancer. The database isn't just limited to cosmetics either, it rates and gives information on personal care products from sunscreens and lotions to toothpastes and baby products. Recipe |
Baked Eggplant with Tomatoes
- 1 eggplant sliced thin length-wise
- 1 red onion sliced thin
- 1 leek sliced thin
- 4 tomatoes sliced thin
- 5-6 cloves of garlic
- 2-3 parsnips sliced thin
Procedure:
Layer all vegetables in a flat covered baking dish with the tomatoes on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours or until done. Garnish with parsley

After watching some documentaries about Dr. Gerson and his daughter, all I can say is wow!!! As a hospice nurse I see people poisoning their body with chemo and burning their insides with radiation. I fully do not believe in those treatments and keep that to myself at all times! I have always believed the body can heal itself, if you give it the right tools to work on. Here you have been doing it forever!!!! Bravo to you all for all the work you do. At this time our government is making too much money by preventing this kind of practice to be in the USA. Too much politics. I pray that someday you can set up clinics all over the United States! You will end so much suffering and pain with your treatments, that aren't really treatments but a better way of living life! I truly wish you so much luck and success for as long as you and everyone who works for you are around!!!
