The past month has been kind enough to bring us not only beautiful flowers here in Southern California, but we are also welcoming 3 new employees to the Institute and 690 new subscribers to our E-bulletin! As the Gerson Family grows we get to share more and more inspiring stories of recovery. Howie Doan, a patient who has reversed his melanoma on the Gerson Therapy was kind enough to share his story with us on video, which you can find on the Gerson Institute YouTube page under favorites.

"I'd like to thank Ian Jacklin, for his help in making this video. To all your families, friends, acquaintances (even someone who you have just met) who want to help someone,
with cancer, open your hearts and minds and seriously consider alternative therapies to reverse cancer and other chronic degenerative disease. Like thousands of others who empowered themselves at self healing, I chose the Gerson Therapy because it was the best choice for me. I reversed malignant melanoma, and hope that I can reach out to help others reclaim their life. Please share my video with someone you care about.

Health & Healing Crusade
Charlotte Gerson will once again be speaking at Modern Manna's Health & Healing Crusade June 11-13 in Lodi, California. The annual festival includes free camping, free food and free admission. Charlotte will be joined by 6 other distinguished speakers including Jay Kordich, a patient of Dr. Max Gerson who is now known worldwide as "The Juice Man" and the "Father of Juicing". | Volunteers Needed In San Diego | |
We are seeking volunteers who live in the San Diego area, or people who can come to stay in San Diego  (you would need to provide your own lodging), to do cooking and juicing for our upcoming events:
Monday, May 17- Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Gerson Therapy Practitioner Training
Friday, June 25 to Sunday June, 27 at the Gerson Basics Workshop

Congress to Rewrite Chemical Regulations, for First Time in a Generation
Under the current 36 year old Toxic Substance Control Act manufacturers of new chemicals are not required to disclose information about chemicals used in products to the public if they deem the disclosure as potentially harming their bottom line. This weakness in the law has been exploited to the extreme over the years, so much so, that in the past several years, 95 percent of the notices for new chemicals sent to the government requested some secrecy, according to the Government Accountability Office. Not only the names of these chemicals are being kept secret but even the locations of factories that manufacture or use these chemicals can be kept secret. This high secrecy makes EPA regulation very difficult and makes it nearly impossible for consumers to know exactly what is in the products they use in daily life and how it is effecting them.
The White House, along with Environmental Groups, are  hoping to see Congress remove this secrecy clause when they rewrite the bill later this year. With over 20% of the chemicals being used commercially kept secret according to the EPA, their is sure to be a strong push from manufacturers to keep the "secrecy clause" alive. Please stand up for consumer rights and let Congress know that you demand full disclosure.
