A new Gerson patient has started a Blog
After being diagnosed with stage 4 anal cancer metastasized in her lower lymph system, Cathy Shauklas received chemotherapy and radiation only for the cancer to re-appear 2 years later in her left lung. When 5 days of special stereotactic radiation and 2 weeks of chemo only slightly shrunk the tumor Cathy began seeking alternative methods. She soon decided to go to the Baja Nutri Care Clinic in Mexico and has been blogging about her journey ever since.

| Charlotte's 88th Birthday |
Charlotte Gerson turns 88 on March 27th!
Alyson Pisani, who is volunteering to administer our Facebook and
Causes groups, wrote a wonderful letter about Charlotte's birthday
and is spearheading the effort to raise funds for the Charlotte Gerson
Legacy Fund. We invite you to join our Causes group, and read the letter.

Every order placed on our website bookstore in March that includes the words "Happy Birthday Charlotte" in the comment box will receive a free copy of the audio cassette Curing "Incurables" - The Gerson Therapy, How to Cure & Prevent Cancer & Other "Incurable" Diseases by Charlotte Gerson.
This audio cassette tape was recorded at the 100th celebration of the anniversary of Dr Gerson's birth.
It is quintessential Charlotte as she describes the basics of the Gerson Therapy, why and how it heals. In her hour long lecture Charlotte goes into depth on topics such as the immune system and how to keep it strong, and why the orthodox methods of "drugging, cutting out a piece, and burning tissue" are harmful. She also introduces segments by cured patients who have moving and inspiring stories. |

Gerson Basics Workshop
Our February Gerson Basics Workshop had a wonderful group of 49 people, including Hospice, Oncology, and Intensive Care Unit RN's who have seen the number of deaths rising from people using standard treatments and want to find another way.
Several participants had done a modified version of the Therapy on their own for 2-4 weeks and reported remarkable results including a lifting of depression, skin looking 20 years younger and even a spiritual experience. There were young parents wanting to learn a healthy lifestyle to protect their children, some with cancer who were considering doing the therapy and a man who created the Rosas Foundation to provide free treatment to people in Mexico who have no other source of medical care.
Due to an increase in demand, we are holding our next class at new location that can hold 75 people To ensure a spot, please register early!

Gerson Therapy Practitioner Training Program
UNITED STATES DOCTORS NEEDED
The Gerson Institute receives many requests for referrals to Gerson Trained Practitioners. We are in need of more doctors in the United States who would like to be trained and certified in doing the Gerson Therapy (a two-year process). If you are or know anyone who is a Naturopathic Doctor (ND), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), Physician Assistant, (PA) or a Nurse Practitioner (NP) who is seriously interested in becoming a Gerson Practitioner, tell them about the next annual Gerson Institute Health Practioner Training.

Patient Poem |
Sue Egen wrote the following poem after doing the Gerson Therapy for seven months and actively taking part in the Gerson Therapy Coaching sessions for six months. She was diagnosed with squamous cell cancer in May 2009.
"YOU'RE JUST SIMPLY THE BEST"
Forgive me Gerson for I have strayed,
I hate to admit it, but I need to be saved.
A friend convinced me to try something new,
very sorry I did it, that much is true.
Believe me when I tell you, I feel your the best,
so today is the day I give up all the rest.
It's the nite before Gerson, and all thru my mind,
were thoughts of excitement to try one more time.
No more scans no more Doctors, at least for a while,
just juices and enemas to stir up some bile.
All the juices are timed, and the enemas too,
detoxing is coming, and not a moment to soon.
One thing I do dread, castor oil in the morning,
stay close to the bathroom, for you don't get much warning.
Soaking the produce, shaking it dry,
though prep time is busy, I'm sure we'll get by.
Injections and supplements, we can't forget those,
it is a full regimen, but it's the one that I chose.
10 and 4 is for me, plus potatoes and soup,
veggies and salads, by days end we're pooped.
So for anyone out there who's thinking or straying,
I suggest you not do it, your best interest is staying.
Now hold onto your coffee, you don't want to chuck it,
trust me when I tell you, you'll miss doing buckets.
So again I must say, I'm done with the rest,
I'll never stray again, YOU'RE JUST SIMPLY THE BEST!
