Our Gerson Basics/Caregiver Workshop was a big success. We even had a four month old who attended the entire class who received a special certificate from Charlotte!
People attended from as far away as Indonesia (a young woman whose mother was currently at the Gerson Clinic in Mexico) and France, and from all over the United States including Chicago, Texas and California. A few were actively doing the Gerson Therapy, including someone who is recovering from stage 3 melanoma who offered to be a coach for another person with stage 4 melanoma who came to learn how to do the Therapy. Some were holistic health practitioners who wanted to learn how to help their patients and some were individuals who wanted the information so they can tell their friends and family about alternatives to conventional therapies.
Many thanks to all our volunteers who worked tirelessly in the kitchen and transporting food in order to feed everyone.
We also thank Valerie Adair who did an excellent cooking demonstration - you can see more photos on her blog.
The next class will be February 19-21 at the Holiday Inn Express, downtown San Diego, CA.

"Thus, the development of disease, its course and healing process, do not depend so much on the type of tissue or organ involved, but more on the general healing power of the entire organism, united or centralized in all its metabolic processes for the most part concentrated in the liver.
Contrary to this concept, our textbooks and journals have separated different diseases and even cancers as malignant tumors of the nose and paranasal sinuses, malignancies of the stomach or the kidney, cancer of the lungs, etc. There are, of course differences in the type, development, complications, prognosis, etc. but the basis idea must be maintained that the defense and healing power is an essential part of the whole body and must be restored, whatever organ or organs may be involved or whatever cause the malignancy may have had. I repeat: In general, the recovery from a malignancy means the resotration of the whole body from a kind of degeneration." |

No Deaths From Vitamins or Minerals
Poison Control Statistics Prove Supplements' Safety
(OMNS, October 14, 2009) There was not even one death caused by a vitamin or dietary mineral in 2007, according to the most recent statistics available from the U.S. National Poison Data System. The 132-page annual report of the American Association of Poison Control Centers published in the journal Clinical Toxicology shows zero deaths from multiple vitamins; zero deaths from any of the B vitamins; zero deaths from vitamins A, C, D, or E; and zero deaths from any other vitamin. Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
If you are a federal employee (or know people who work for the federal government e.g. postal workers, military, border patrol), the fall campaign (where people make pledges to contribute to organizations through a payroll deduction) is well underway. For those who want to contribute to the Gerson Institute, we are listed as Cancer Curing Society (our doing business as name) in the CFC brochures and website.
Large companies often match dollar-for-dollar whatever their employees donate to non-profit organizations. If you (or you know someone who is or would like to) contribute to the Gerson Institute who works for a large company, check out their Matching Gifts Program.
