Libertarian Party of Indiana to Hold Annual Convention April 30, 2011
LAPORTE, IN - Indiana Libertarians will gather this Saturday for their annual nominating convention in LaPorte, IN. In lieu of a taxpayer-funded primary, Indiana's third-largest party nominates candidates conventions. On April 30th, members of the party will select candidates for local races, attend training workshops, and will elect state officers for a term of two years. The current state chairman Sam Goldstein intends to seek a second term.
The convention will be held from 9 AM to 4 PM on April 30, 2011 at the Best Western La Porte Hotel & Conference Center. The business meeting begins at 2 PM. There will be a Texas Hold'em tournament guest hosted by Rupert Boneham of Survivor fame that begins at 6 PM (Gaming License #123351).
