Join us at the 2011 Convention!

Each Spring, the LPIN holds a convention to nominate candidates, network, elect officers, and attend training workshops. We offer an Early Bird discount, but that ends tonight at 11:59 PM!

This year, we'll meet on April 29th in LaPorte, Indiana to elect our party's officers, including Chair. We'll also nominate some local candidates. (Find out why we do not participate in the primary system here.)

We're also hosting a Texas Hold'em Tournament featuring our special guest Rupert Boneham from Survivor! Find out all the exciting details of this special charity gaming event here

Does Government Spending Grow the Economy?

It's often said that WWII was the reason the Great Depression ended. Larry Summers recently proposed that the Japan tragedy would be beneficial to the world economy. (The truth is that oil dropped because they will be using less and many are predicting that the world's 3rd largest economy will never recover. After any great tragedy that destroys personal property some economist says that we shouldn't be gloomy because it's actually good for the economy.

The truth is that war, economic stimulus, and natural disasters are bad for the economy.

Watch this short video to learn why.

The Republicans and Democrats make taxpayers foot the bill for their closed party business. Our version of the primary is called a nominating convention. The members of our private organization select our candidates through a vote at convention, and our membership fees help us run the conventions. Please become an active member of the Libertarian Party of Indiana today!

Please consider a monthly donation of $50, $30, $20, or $10 a month today to continue our unprecedented growth. A one-time donation of $25 gives an individual voting rights for one year.

ABOUT THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY
The Libertarian Party is America, and Indiana's, third largest political party founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. Its vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.

The Libertarian Party of Indiana was formed in 1974, and has maintained ballot access since 1994. Sam Goldstein, an Indianapolis resident, currently serves as Chairman.
