What is a Libertarian? The LPIN launches a new LP 101 Class

"Are libertarians just librarians that take liberties? Why is a Libertarian Party even necessary? Aren't you guys just Republicans?"

We're launching a new program to help teach the LP's beliefs and how we're different from other parties. This site - http://www.lp101.org is a portal to information on our principles, stances on issues, links to sites, how to get involved, and information on our brand new one hour class!

We're launching a short class to cover the basics of the libertarian philosophy, an introduction to the party, its leadership, and how you can get more involved in making a change in your community. Please share this website with friends that are looking for more information on the party.

The first class will be held Saturday March 26 from 3 PM to 4 PM at the Bonefish Grill in Greenwood. Soon, local organizers will hold these classes across Indiana.

Run for Office!

The LP is looking for committed candidates to run for office at the local level in 2011, and for candidates to begin planning their 2012 run! The more candidates our party has organizing walks in neighborhoods, fundraising to advertise, and participating in debates, the stronger we will be from cycle to cycle.

Help Us Grow the LP 101 Classes!

The LP 101 Classes that we are launching take staff to organize the events, there are many printing costs involved, and we would love to to promote this event through facebook advertising. But this costs money!

The Libertarian Party of Indiana is funded by individual Hoosier donors that are passionate about the cause of advancing libertarianism. Your monthly contribution is how we sustain our efforts by hiring staff, publishing newsletters, recruiting candidates, and many other basic political functions. And the more donors that commit to a monthly donation, the more Hoosiers we can reach!

Please consider a monthly donation of $50, $30, $20, or $10 a month today to continue our unprecedented growth.

ABOUT THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY
The Libertarian Party is America, and Indiana's, third largest political party founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. Its vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.

The Libertarian Party of Indiana was formed in 1974, and has maintained ballot access since 1994. Sam Goldstein, an Indianapolis resident, currently serves as Chairman.
