Revenue, Revenue, Revenue: A Look at the General Assembly's New Taxes

(By Jerry Titus, Howard County Chair)

While the 'traditional' media brings you news of the General Assembly's diligent efforts to trim and reform our State government, it appears that they've missed reporting on several new tax and revenue generating bills that have been introduced this session.

At the Libertarian Legislative Think Tank on Facebook, we've been diligently sorting through the

971 pieces of legislation filed this session.  It's slow going, but so far we've found several new taxes and revenue generation that we think our fellow Hoosiers should be aware of.

Find out what new taxes are being proposed and which party is authoring them at LPIN.org!

Libertarian Party of Indiana Creating College Outreach Kits

In 2011, the Libertarian Party of Indiana will be sending college outreach kits to students at Hoosier universities and colleges to help spread the libertarian messages. Items like movie sized posters, magnets, sign up sheets, and stickers will be provided free to students. We've finished the design, and a website has been designed to help connect students.

We are $500 away from our goal of launching this new program! Please help us break through this roadblock and launch ASAP! By doing so, You will help identify the leaders of the 21st Century within the Libertarian Party.

Please use our secure payment form below to donate $500, $100, $50, $20, or any amount you wish to contribute to this project. Thank you for building a libertarian century.

ABOUT THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY
The Libertarian Party is America, and Indiana's, third largest political party founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. Its vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.

The Libertarian Party of Indiana was formed in 1974, and has maintained ballot access since 1994. Sam Goldstein, an Indianapolis resident, currently serves as Chairman.
