Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We wanted to email you today to thank you for your support not only in the present, but in the past and future. The word "libertarian" is far more prevalent today than in the past, and we hope this continues. It's up to us to continue to be a consistent voice for unapologetic liberty. No excuses.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all that we are thankful, as well as the struggle for liberty that the Pilgrims put forth to ensure that they had religious
liberty.

It also highlights the folly of Socialism. Reason Magazine recently put out this video on how property rights changed the future of the Massachusetts settlement.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving,
Your Friends at the LPIN
David Nolan, R.I.P.

We are sad to announce the passing of one of the founders of the Libertarian Party. David Nolan, 66, passed away this past weekend. The Libertarian Party was formed in 1971 by David and a group of friends after Richard Nixon announced price controls and the removal of the gold standard. Read his complete obituary by the New York Times here.

ABOUT THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY
The Libertarian Party is America, and Indiana's, third largest political party founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. Its vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.

The Libertarian Party of Indiana was formed in 1974, and has maintained ballot access since 1994. Sam Goldstein, an Indianapolis resident, currently serves as Chairman.
