Libertarian Party of Indiana Launches New Website
LPINLogosmall
A few months ago, a team of Libertarian Party members formed to build the next generation in political party websites. All agreed that the website needed to explain what "Libertarian" means. It needed to give party business news to new and existing members. It needed to show off all the hard work of Indiana Libertarians through pictures, videos and podcasts. We needed to train our citizen candidates and county organizers more effectively.

We needed to make it easier to encourage anyone that believes in the cause to grow the party through donations and volunteerism in 2010, because our Nation needs the Libertarian message now more than ever! >

Did we succeed? We'll let you be the judge. Check out the new Libertarian Party of Indiana website for yourself. Click here to visit our new website.

Thanks to Nicholas Noel for his great design work and John Meuser, Jeff Stanger, and Ray Wolff for all of their input on the new site. Michael Schultheiss of Serving Liberty hosts the site for us. Clark Giles and Bill Bean will serve as editors of the new website, ensuring that we will continue to bring you great content daily. Plus, through WordpressMU, we'll soon be building easy, professional looking websites for all of our candidates and county organizations.

Also, we've changed the RSS Feed. If you use a feed reader such as Google Reader or post our feed to your facebook wall please update the link to: http://lpin.org/feed/.

Serve as a Delegate to the Libertarian National Convention

The Libertarian Party of Indiana has a national convention delegate allocation of 34 for the upcoming Libertarian National Convention in St. Louis over Memorial Day Weekend. I anticipate a much higher number of Hoosier Libertarians making the short journey to attend and so we need to start getting a head count to set up the ballot for electing delegates at the LPIN Convention on April 24th.

If you think you will be going to St. Louis and are a current LPIN member, please send me an email at
chair@lpin.org so I can add your name to the potential delegate list. If we have more than 34 members expressing an interest in being a LPIN delegate than we will vote by secret ballot.

In Liberty,

Sam Goldstein
Libertarian Party of Indiana Chairman

ABOUT THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY
The Libertarian Party is America, and Indiana's, third largest political party founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. Its vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.

The Libertarian Party of Indiana was formed in 1974, and has maintained ballot access since 1994. Sam Goldstein, an Indianapolis resident, currently serves as Chairman.
